Look up “Passionable”, and it tends to be described as a coined word. It is the sort of word anyone might think of.
“Passionate” is the familiar adjective. But “passion” plus “able” suggests being able to keep that passion alive: enthusiasm for work, play, and all sorts of things. One explanation I found described it as having a temperament that stays passionate.
Yes. That sounds about right.
Am I that sort of person? I think I rather am. And that will do.
Sometimes I charge ahead a little too far, and my wife puts up a roadblock. That is probably a good thing too.
A runaway car with no obvious destination has to be stopped. That is putting it too strongly, of course. Still, part of the fun is saying things while knowing that I may occasionally be stopped.
I do mean saying them, not immediately acting on them. There is no need to worry that I will rush straight into every idea. Perhaps I give off a little of that impression—but only an impression.
I try to direct the actual energy into development. I think that works in my real-world work. With fishing, being a hobby, my experiments are sometimes seen as just playing around and are not given quite so much leeway.
Lately, though, I think the look I get has softened. That helps. My modified lures with tails are gradually earning a little recognition.
Catching a wary 85 cm seabass on a handmade lure was a substantial achievement in several ways. At last, perhaps my fishing is beginning to be accepted. Well, not quite.
I do not mean becoming a better angler so much as making better fishing tackle. I like making rigs.
One day, perhaps I would like to run a tackle shop. For some reason, I am interested in all kinds of work.
My present work is in a certain field beginning with “audio”, and it is beginning to be known in France as artistic work.
What is it? Have a guess.
