The UBR-510 bends so much that I feel I need to pay attention to it all the time.
I am looking for ways to fish it beyond those described in the advertising. One idea is to concentrate on the surface with an extremely light jighead.
The setup I want to try
- Main line: ester, Japanese size #0.2.
- Leader: fluorocarbon, Japanese size #0.6.
- Jighead: ZEROGRA HEAD, 0.3 g.
- Soft lure: Chimerabait, in the Clione colour.
That combination of the 0.3 g ZEROGRA HEAD and the Chimerabait in Clione looks to me like nothing other than a tiny squid drifting in the water.
I have not tried it while actually fishing yet. But I want to, soon. I am excited!
This remains an untested idea in the Japanese article, first published on 3 June 2022 and last updated on 1 July 2023. The line numbers are Japanese size designations, not pound-test ratings.
