This was a reel from Daiwa’s top-of-the-range series.

Yet the reel as a whole lacked a certain aura. The satisfaction I felt when handling it was more like something costing less than half as much.

I did not know what caused it. Looking online, though, it seemed there was a reason.

Well, I would use it anyway.

Hmm… There are all sorts of things in this world. For the moment, that was how it felt.

The Japanese title refers to a gritty sensation during fast winding. This short November 2021 entry does not identify a mechanical cause or describe a repair.
